Disc settings in iron

Sigs I tend to use 6.8 in most programs. It will knock out most of the small iron but still give you great target separation. As you raise the disc higher than that you start to see the Deus lose some ability to separate masked targets. Try it over a masked target. Crank the disc up to 20 and watch what happens. I have very mild soil since you asked.

I use 6.8 also and have done pretty good. Heard some other people going higher with the disc. Thanks for the input. Happy digging!

In all tones, I like to leave the disc at -6.4 unless it is too noisy at which time I ease it up until it quiets down a little or I might just adjust it to knock out a small nail. When not in all tones, I still like very low disc and use the second tone as the iron tone and set it around 5.5 to 9. To me, it seems like the low disc helps give bottle caps a better iron tone as you pull back off the target or rim it. It does knock out the iron side of the horse shoe icon but I rarely look at the remote anyway.
