My turn for a dumb question..

I have Minelab machines, this is my first XP, I know how to tell on the CTX when the ground is getting highly mineralized, and what to do about it when it does, but I have no clue on the Deus. I know it has a graph showing mineralization, but I don't know what to do if it's showing highly mineralized. What settings must be changed when going from benign ground to mineralized ground? On the CTX when suggested sensitivity got down around 12 or 13 I would switch to ground coin, and go from Auto +2 on the sensitivity to manual, and increase it till it just starts to get unstable, but no clue with the Deus.

I will try both of those suggestions, I'm going to Virginia sometime in October and I'm wanting to take the Deus 2 along with the GPX 5000. It's amazing how heavy that GPX can get after a couple of days swinging it, especially with the 15 in spiral coil.

My battery is actually mounted to the detector itself, not in a harness, because I hate to be tethered to anything. According to the kitchen scale, the detector with the 11 in. coil and battery is 8 Lb 10 Oz. With the 15 in. coil and battery it weighs 10 Lb 2 Oz. If I remove the battery as if I had it in a separate harness, the detector with the 11 in. coil weighs 6 lb 10 oz, and the detector with the 15 in. coil weighs 8 lb 2 oz. This is machine only, no headphones. No wonder my shoulders are killing me after a day with the 15 inch coil! Some individual weights, the battery alone weighs 2 lb 0 oz, the 11 in. coil with a lower shaft attached weighs 2 lb 0 oz, and the 15 in. coil with a lower shaft attached weighs 3 lb 8 oz. Compare that to the Deus 2 with the 11 in. coil and remote controller... 2 lb 7 oz.

That's good exercise for you young fellas! (y) ;)

Who needs an exercise machine to pile clothing on, when you've got one of those things :)

I swear if you post a pic with the detector having wheels on the end of the shaft……..😂

It doesnt really get to you till the second or third day... 😳
