Welcome to 'Crack Alley' i.e. Portland, OR downtown river beach...
...I got out for a few hours this am at a central downtown riverfront beach.
I did not find much but some spare change, a couple of kids toys and small case; complete with crack pipe and container of crack.

Ok, THEN!

HH and watch out for the meth-monkeys, etc.

TOO MUCH DIRT --- NOT ENUFF TIME

There should be numerous disposal sites to safely dispose of it. YOU dont want to be caught with it either, could also have been used to smoke Fentanyl which is real bad juju.
Portland ised to be a nice place to go, no longer.

The way things are. I'd be spooked to detect around Portland. How bad is it over there ?

Well, it is not nearly as bad as the national news would have you believe. That being said, we sure see a lot more disheveled and heavily drugged folks wandering the streets.
Truth be told, the police whine they are understaffed because of financial cutbacks and turn the other cheek so to speak.
The laws don't really address (nor enforcement and/or mental health treatment) the onslaught of cheap fentanyl and other drugs plaguing the area.
I moved beginning of this month from an apartment where my next door neighbor would be up all night tweaking, slamming doors, slamming kitchen cabinets and stomping back and forth.
I live in a much nicer area and still, even the yuppie complaints and richer than me folks, cannot get the drug addicts unseated from our streets.
When I detect in a city park, as will be the case in a few hours, I pack my gel pepper spray with UV marker and keep my lock blades handy.
I also keep my digging tools nice and sharp, very sharp. :)

As the 60s and 70s band Steppenwolf might say:
You know, I've seen a lot of people walkin' 'round
With tombstones in their eyes
But the pusher don't care

Yeah, I have it in a baggie and perhaps later today I will see about where to safely dispose of the drugs.
There is a police precinct very nearby and they may have a drop box.
Otherwise, I will contact social services local hotline to ask where to go.

thanks for reminding me

At work we use a Hot pepper spray for dogs.
So far after years of use. No dog has attacked after being sprayed. A few came back after half missed shot. Only to immediately retreat on a full on hit.
DPS. Nasty stuff.

We go out of town on power restoration after major storms.

Some parts of the country. Like Jersey they won't let us Carry it. Dam Nazi's.

Most of us do anyway. A fine is better than getting a leg tore up.

I've founds bags of pot before
