Coin shooting programme

Tried the program yesterday for a couple of hours and found a handful of pennies, a dime and a nickle. Also dug a bunch of pulltabs, just the pull part, not the beavertail. They all rang up to the low 40's. I did switch between 2 and 4 tones just to see what it would do and while in 4 tone, 4 khz a 49 VDI; dug the object at 4" thinking I had a quarter and was fooled. Turned out to be a early 1930's 1 cent Consumer Tax Token from Oklahoma. First one I've bagged for some time now. I don't know if the program played a part in the recovery or not, just glad I got it.

This morning; with the program and set to 4 tones, 4Khz captured a couple of Wheaties and a amusement ride token. You have to understand, I've hunted at this small Park since 1976. She STILL gives up stuff. Right now the ground is like Flint and I can only get down about 2"'s then I have to chip away at the ground. Both Wheaties were 4" plus deep; I struggled.

And just to confirm with everyone you are running as he did in Park and A mode???
I was out last night using the 6” coil and brought up a rifle casing thats either steel or some type of a nickel coating. It has a shiny surface and is in good enough condition its possibly still reloadable. Its head stamped 11 97 and most likely a 30-40 Krag. Came in 48-49 vdi at 5-6”

Running in Park @ 4Khz but using 4 tones instead of 2. I'll have to look at the video again, I didn't think he was running A mode.
Found a buck 37 this afternoon with one good find; a 1921 Canada penny (small cent) with George IV on the front. My oldest coin in today's digs.

My bad, it was G and I simply put A by mental mistake. I was good in the field just bad in the head……..

Yes, the ring part is going to have to be dug. They sound/TID too good because they are round. Still a very effective way to sift for coins.

Today; I got a 1953D Penny and a 1945 D Walking Liberty. There was 4 metallic objects in the hole starting with a clad dime just barely covered by dirt; then a Zinc penny; then the Walker, and finally a pulltab. Signal was all over the place from 38 ~ 52. What a hoot!!
Low and slow (4khz and slow swing) First Walking Half I've found in years. I really like this detector.

I'm close to finalizing a C Disc pattern to mitigate most pull tabs & small can slaw,(29-34) With a Tone Break around 20, using 2 or 60 or Pitch Tone it seems to work quite well. You have to ignore the TID because it is down averaged and just dig the repeatable tones even if they are short. The newly corrected Threshold hum helps as it cuts out over a Disc'd item to let you know its there. It will hit on a 6 inch Dime with up to 2 pull tabs under the coil at the same time, even if one is directly on top of the Dime. TID drops to the mid 30's. I really like Pitch Tone to judge depth.
Park Mode, 4 kHz, Recovery at 3, Audio Gain at 3.

I'll be tryin that next time I get out. I'm sold on 4Khz in my beat up Park. I've been hunting this same Park since 1975 and it simply amazes me how much of the older stuff is still in the ground. My Half Dollar find of today was only down 3~3.5" BUT their was (3) other metal objects in the same hole. Low and Slow.
