Quest detectors

I've really like them but even though some have a salt water mode they don't have simultaneous multi frequency so they won't work as well as those that do.
 
I have used a Quest Pro for years, works well.
Ground balancing on wet salt beach must be done manually, once done No drama.
GB on dry sand is within auto settings.

Non work well in black sand.You already know what work best in these conditions.....a pi or multi frequency machine.I thought you were serious about detecting in tough black sand conditions.Thats me done.
 
Nauti, thanks for your previous assistance taken seriously. I am 2023 planning for a 2 month long sailing/exploration trip to seek a specific target located in a wilderness coastal area of British Columbia most likely found in the vicinity of 200 yr old long gone trading posts. Part of my due diligence is to follow up on all "claims" to make sure I am carrying the right ammo...lately a few Quest users have made beach hunting claims. This does not mean I disagree with your advice.
