I'm a big fan of the nokta/marko products, just bought the legend pro pack , with 2 coils and battery pack , I really like the 6" coil , I hit deep pennies my PP couldn't Pick up on a pre dig , haven't tried the 11"coil yet. I have the 1.05 version going to update the firmware tomorrow on my friends computer, question .. what kind of performance will I get upgrading?

Congratulations on your new detector.
That 6” coil is really impressive. if your not hunting large areas and are in trashy areas alot you can just keep that coil on.
Light, deep, just an all around great coil.
The 11” is good especially for the beach or digging real deep holes with alot of ground to cover.
Not everyone uses the external battery depending on your preference for headphones but always good to keep attached to the detector for added battery life.. Its light and I think balances the detector nicely.
You will get some bug fixes and added features. I personally don’t use all the added features yet which is supposed to give better performance tuning it to your preferences but even without using the additional features it seems to run even more stable and sensitive. If you are into all the different tone settings, playing with the iron and recovery speeds you will have more control but I’m not familiar with all that stuff yet.

Thanks DigDog, I'm getting use to the vdi's I have the gold kruzer ( awesome machine) it's on the 0-99 scale , the legend has so much fine tune adjustments , it's gonna take a while to pull it all together , I'm gonna start knocking on some doors to get better hunting grounds , but yeah the 6" is deeper than my pulse will go on some targets, I dug a few deep pennies nothing to old , and the frequency shift on the fly is cool , first hunt with it was pretty good , and the wireless headphones was great , they will come in handy in the thick brush with no cord to snag , but I will have to come up with a cover for the coil. And I added a koosie over the control box with a pocket warmer to keep it running smooth in the cold air , I like it alot

Updating to V1.09 and doing the Threshold update is well worth the effort. Be sure and use the new Updater tool. There is a list of what is included in the updates after your V1.05 on Nokta's website where you install the updates. It is all good stuff & makes the machine more adaptable to the operator & any hunting conditions you might encounter.

Hank----You didn't get coil covers?---I think you should have.----I got coil covers when I purchased mine (for both the 11" & 6" coils).

I should have clarified, , cover over my control housing my bad , certainly apologize, my gold kruzer is definitely cold natured lol

I added the Legend to accompany my Fisher F75. The ability to switch from multi to single frequency is nice but keep in mind if you run 4khz it will drain the battery in about 4-5 hrs but boy does it hit deeper coins!
I feel your pain as I’m still trying to fine tune settings, having the C setup is cool cuz it allows you to simply hit your profile and just go.
Its a good machine!

The overall adjustability and well thought out operator interface is the best out there to me.

I didn't know that on the 4khz, I'm trying to figure it all out , dang it's alot of machine handle , I'll read the manual all the way though this time , glad I have tech support here , I'm gonna need it , yes sir ronstar I'm about 3 light years away from a user profile lol 😂 HHHANK wish me luck lol

I'll think you will find it tough to get the minimum 8 hoors running 4khz in trashy areas , I know I can't. Recharging is not a big inconvenience for the performance it appears to get. I've gotten used to the tones fairly well and have had good depth in my crappy dirt and the TID is accurate/steady enough to give a guy good confidence. I'm toward the top of the list waitiing for the M-core but I'm having a hard time seeing the need of learning another machine at this point. I can't see the sense in not updating to 1.09 if it's possible , it makes everything flow together better.

These new machines have lots of setting and adjustments but in actuality they are only as complicated as you make them. I think there are 16 user profiles or something like that , I use one and find it quicker to just modify it as needed as it is to remember the details of 15 other profiles. It was the same with the etrac and CTX as long as you don't rely heavily on custom discrimination programs. Once you get the basic format down , adjusting on the fly comes naturally.

Thank you so much for the information, I'm trying to notch out pull tabs and bottle caps , I would like to notch it Manually but it's tricky .

Im a long way off myself from using its full potential. But I’m happy using it as a fancy beep and dig machine with alot of options lol.
I see it more as multiple detectors in one vs a complex detector. Thats the beauty of it, you can just pick it up and go as a simple use have some quick fun or really dive deep into the settings and customize it the way you want.
Depending what type of hunting you wanted to do used to have to use different machines using different frequencies and features for what works best now its all in one. Within reason of course. Obviously if you we’re strictly using in salt water/diving better to go with a PI or other type made just for water. Same if you we’re strictly in gold prospecting might be better options but for an all around detector to do little of everything its a great machine especially at the price. Considering a M core myself but not in a rush at this point.
What i have works, and alot of hype and now nothing. Probably better waiting to see some performance results being the main thing so far is the 2d screen which not sure if that’s going to do it for me.
For the money it should really outperform the Nox but that seems like its going to be a while at this point to determine.

Getting older oh yeah I know , won't notch out beach detecting, I'm not digging ever beep. But thanks HHHANK

Right at this moment not really happy on the performance, deeper than what I have but the GK smokes it on PP and trashy areas, but I'll give it more time

I would trade it for a two week old multi kruzer with 2 coils and WHP , the bigger screen would help .

Every detector performs different in different areas. So it’s deeper but not that happy with PP? Pinpointing?
With these new more complicated machines just curious when comparing.
Like to hear about more details comparing like what coils comparing Same size,DD? Headphones, BT? Program settings?
Don’t take this the wrong way but some results are user specific, could be environmental that day. EMI,etc.
I would try having them both with you set up similar and if you are curious about the results go over some of the same targets, areas with both.
EMI nowadays is alot more prevalent and the more sensitive machines make it more difficult.

Well it just does lock on to targets to what I'm use to , yeah one is elliptical coil and one 6 " DD , one is single and one is 5 frequencies, been swinging along time I know what it means to be in familiar groove with a detector, just works awkward to me , but I'll give it more time , just expected more .

Yup.
Why I have Too many machines.
And an Italian wife who keeps saying.
You and your dam metal detectors.
Where's my new Cadillac CTS4.
Auuggghhhhhhh.

Hahaha you got me rolling, watch out for that lady she will take you our and pretend like nothing happened lol hilarious 😂
