Here is a question for you guys/gals from a relatively new detectorist..
Is it fair game to detect old city roads that are being restored..on weekends and holidays when work crews are not operating?🤔

Absolutely I do and sidewalks I even hit old homes that belong to the town that have been left to rot taxes not paid whatever..

I had mentioned something to this effect months ago as well that if you know someone, an excavator in particular at a construction site, they can scoop out buckets really deep and with one swoop spread it out thin enough and give you a chance to sweep over it really quick.
Never know depending on the site what you might find
