Tales from the "Core" Manticore

A group of hard-core researchers have been looking for early settlements in our area. It all paid off for us {Shane} and I hunting this site the last 2 weekends. We know have 3 large cents and Indian {toasted} and now a Trime along with numerous musket balls. Just to clarify all the large cents were found with 800's, I received my Manticore mid-week. The trime read 41 in the ground and 45 out on top. The signal was the same as the previous musket ball only more subtle, the modulation was doing its job on this signal.

The trime is one elusive coin to find. Very nice find and save!

Almost 50 yrs. to get my 1st one LOL That was 2 years ago. A little worse for the wear bit I was tickled!
If this hobby was “easy” everyone would be doing it lol. You have clearly worked many years and we’re finally rewarded. I remember when I found mine several years back. There were two of them in the hole!! I truly thought I had found children play tokens lol. When I got home and washed them under the kitchen faucet, it was only then I realized I was wrong. Such tiny thin coins. I can see how they can be missed. Again, congratulations on a super find!
