Found my first large cent with the Legend in Warren County Ga about a month ago. Was unreadable when came out of the ground. Did the vinegar and salt soak and brush about 5 times over the course of bout 4 hours. Haven't done any cleaning since but looking at another session especially the back. Gonna stay with me so really not worried about the value (not much according to coin world 23.00 or so) Is there another recommendation on getting the black off the back also.

I found that boiling in vinegar removes a lot of corrosion. It cleaned a 1737 1/2 Reale that I found in Bonaire a couple years ago. It was completely coated with sand but cleaned pretty good.
