You must have the settings at the 3rd spot on the PinPointer
! is the deepest sensitivity
You might be able to do it with the remote I go thru the PinPointer

On my Deus1 with mi-6 I run sensitivity at 45 and usually get 2 to 4 inches depending on soil condition. Very pleased with it except sometimes it frequently drops connectivity at times. When it does it takes multiple button pushes to reconnect. I don’t think XP ever totally fixed the glitches with the pinpointer.
