nox 800 leaks

I used mine a lot in the water but I never submerged it long so I never had a problem I've heard it can be around the charge port.

My 800 will be 5 years old next month. I've used it submerged in the Gulf of Mexico and in fresh water lakes here in New England and it hasn't leaked - yet. Mark kus's comment above is on the money. Gigmaster did a rest and his leaked at the charge port where there were small fracture cracks.
When removing the charger it sometimes puts a lot of stress on the plastic surrounding the charge port I’ve had it happen to me almost too strong of a magnet lol

When I had one of mine flood, I was talking to the repair rep at minelab... He told me that mine had leaked inside the battery compartment through the little diaphragm. He also told me that this was a common occurrence that they were seeing. Apparently there were some defective diaphragms that were installed on quite a few machines according to him.

I remember someone else stating that water had gotten in their battery compartment also.
I was surprised as there are two O rings to keep water out.
I took mine down to have a look and noticed the O rings, but they were dry.
I would have thought they would have had some silicone grease on them.
I applied some to mine, but decided not to submerge it.

I think that was a wise choice for the 800, i won't submerge mine any more.

Thats awesome, I grew up on a farm about 20 miles outside of quincy ill. I now live in louisville ky. At the end of the civil war there were about 5,000 union troops camped very near my home. I hunt there fairly often. Good luck hunting Mark, and God's speed.
