a whites tdi beach hunter detector ? Just watched a few you tube videos from a few yrs back and thought man I wonder if anyone is still using one or had one. How was the overall performance of the unit ?

Any thoughts on the subject ? Mark (ohio)

Think theres any new old stock on any dealers shelves ?

When Whites was shutting down I think that was one of the first detectors to become unavailable. Saw lots of wanted adds for one. I have not had or used one. There were a lot of posts on various forums about changing the battery and running a higher voltage than stock with very successful results and great depth of detection.

Outdated Technology. Pulse Induction on the beach means.. stuff2.jpg

To me it was just an OK detector. Much better machines available now.

love your trash pile, looks familiar..,I had a whites surf master PI.this is my first post in about 15 years, thinking about getting back into the hobby, looking over all the new machines, happy hunting everyone!!
Welcome back! Seems not as much good stuff gets dropped as did several years ago ... more people wearing stainless steel and other cheap jewelry ... but good finds can still be had.

i bought a used one last year. Great machine. Big Yellow is his name. It is a waterproof TDI SL. I use it all the time. Love it. It will find deep targets. Not outdated at all. They come up on Ebay from time to time. A nice unit to always have around. There is one on Ebay now. Ad says for parts. Not one you would want. I paid around $1200 for mine. Not many were made. Like my favorite horse.

Excellent PI detector for beach hunting, have had heaps of pleasure and good finds with mine.
Was not available in Australia so had to obtain one from a dealer in US.
Used it a lot while waiting for Fisher Impulse AQ to become available.
