Xterra 70 serial number

Picked up on market place today for $140 has the stock coil and a smaller dd coil first minelab I’ve owned looking forward to getting to know it. I saw another post talking about lower serial number units so was trying to figure out what mine is.

The Xterra 70 serial numbers are pretty irrelevant. The serial number range relative to a firmware change is associated with the 705.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Minelab Xterra series detectors! You got a killer deal!

The serial numbers were decently accurate on the 70’s but not so on 705s like longhair said. I always liked the 70’s also due to them operating aftermarket coils smoother.
That is a really good deal. I would buy another in a heart beat at that price. Congratulations on your new to you machine.

My Xterra 705 last four digits are 2698 I would not trade it for any other detector
to the OP if you can find Randy Horton's Book (Understanding Your Xterra) get it it is well worth the read, it is geared towards all the Xterra Line not just the 705 or 70 but all of them, I have that book saved to a file on my PC but it will not allow me to post it here, it was at one time available on Mine Labs site at one time for download and you could print it out but I just checked and it is no longer available there any longer great loss of an instruction book, had it not been for Randy's book I would have wrapped my Xterra 705 around a tree but after printing Randy's book and going through it with a fine tooth comb the i had an ah ha moment and the light bulb turned on, the Xterra 705 is my favorite detector of all I have used and feel the Xterra 705 is one of the most underrated detectors to have ever been produced

Okdirtfisher64 you got a smokin deal
