Another link that I read said to have battery life of 6-8 hrs per charge if I read it correctly... Seems a bit on the low end... doesn't it ?

Ok, then research Volkswagen, Mercedes, and countless japanese companies not to mention Nokta Makro, Ford etc. MANY companies have did BS to get a start or ahead. I'm not saying it's ok but that's not the case now. Competition helps us all have better life.
I believe they, Quest, were the first one with the "pod" above the hand grip with the straight shaft that ML copied with the Nox.
I am and two other guys I hunt with have/had the x10 and it's great. Two of us had the Q30 and it was a solid performer too.
In Europe Quest is a popular brand. I believe their warranty work is done by a dealer in Tx.

There isn’t a lot of them sold here . I have a set of there headphones that accept XPpucks and they are of good quality. And just tonight I just saw where Andy Sabisch has a review on the quest 60/80. Maybe they are ok??

Odd that this came up now. Never heard of the Quest until a few days ago. Got on Youtube and saw many raves about the x10 pro. I ordered one just for the heck of it. Never occurred to me that the comments could be made by someone trying to sell them. I'm sure I won't shelve my Deus 2. For $200.00, what the heck!

I use quest xpro pinpointer (excellent probe, waterproof to 200ft,menu is easy to navigate, build quality...excellent) Seems everyone writes Quest off because they're a Chinese Company. As for me I'll be looking at this machine.

If you go to DetectorProspector, Forum, he has a report on the Quest V60 and V80.

As I mentioned in another post. I have a Q30 and I can't fault it for the price. It is on par with other known brands. Coil availability may be a issue though. I believe the X10 pro and the Q30/Q60 share coils (X series) due to the waterproof plug. Also, the older Quest Pro is a different pin setup, I believe. The Q20/Q40/X10 (non pro) also are different not being fully waterproof at the control. It gets confusing. If you buy any of these and want to swap coils then make sure you order the correct coil series.

Andy is also going to be stocking the V60 and V80 for sale I have my name on his list to purchase one of the V80s, even though I have never tried a Quest detector I have always been interested in the Quest line of detectors, my issue was the fact there was not many in the U.S and I never could find out where if you needed repairs done or service where or who to contact so I never purchased one, that will change with the V80 these two detectors intrigues me, I have also received a PM from Quest and was told by one of their Reps that they will be offering a package where you could purchase just the 11x10 coil or a package with just the 9x5 coil as well as a pro pack that includes both coils, I think this will be great because no other company that I know of offers a choice as to which coil someone wants in an initial purchase, you either take the usually 11 inch coil that is included or you are SOL, to get a 9x5 coil you had to take a pro pack or purchase the 5x9 or 10 as an excessary coil, if quest actually does as I was told this would be great, personally I do not use a big coil for my detecting and the 11x10 would just end up being placed in storage with several other 11 inch or larger coils I have, the 9x5 or 6 inch coil is my preferred coil on every detector I have except for my gold VLF which I use a 6 inch round coil on, and my PI i use all different size coils

I watch a guy in Europe using their pin pointer looks like it’s pretty solid I don’t think anyone sells them here yet?
I could be wrong though

There are Chinese companies duplicating and modifying detectors, then rebadging with a completely new look.
Quest detectors are made in China. I emailed and asked where they were manufactured. They answered that they were designed in the US but made in China. The detectors might be perfect and cheap but I think I will still pass on them. JMO

I watched a revue on the pinpointer, and it picks up at tip like Whites TRX and at the top, not in middle like all others. That way you can find target at bottom of hole or if you went to deep it will get it at the top or dirt that you take out of the hole.
