Legend External Battery Charging

The Coin Magician

Well-known member
i have red and green alternating led's when i charge my external nokta battery pack. My question is how do i know when the battery is fully charged.

I disagree , there is a big"con". You can't run corded headphones while using the battery pack which makes it all but useless if you don't like the wireless headphones.

I've tried several different types of earbuds , low latency down to 35ms according to the advertising and I can still detect a lag because of my wicked fast brilliant reflexes I guess!!:)
Regardless , it still requires charging another set of batteries you have to keep track of and violates my KISS strategy of making this hobby enjoyable.

well you have to live in your own dream world I guess LOL;)

Personal preference.
I much prefer to charge an extra battery once in a while then to be tethered to the detector by my head.
If a ball and chain is your thing then by all means enjoy.

Like I said everyone has there own preferences, pleasures. They even have different websites for whatever your into 😁

Yes , people have their own preferences and it is a horrific and inexcusable travesty the Nokta limits a person's preference with their battery set-up.:D

I don’t think anyone can make the perfect detector that would make everyone happy with everything they want.
When they finally do someone will think of something else🤔

My external battery finally turned green after flashing red/green for 48+ hours, guess patience is king for this battery.

It does take a while but curious what charger you used. I would think one with more volts and amps than a standard old phone charger would charge it quicker.
The manual says to use 5V 2A minimum
pay particular attention to the specs in the charging device

Some cell phone chargers only put out 1 amp and would take forever to charge

I used a wall adapter which has both regular 120V three prong plugs and 2 USB charge ports. The USB ports say 2.4A so that shouldn't have been the issue.
