TESTING ALL LEGEND COILS V1.10

That test doesn't really tell you which would have the best depth, given 3 of the coils bottomed out at the same power level it may just be not enough input power to take advantage of the difference in coil sensitivity. I would be more interested to see how high you could push each coil in a a quiet and noisy EMI environment while still getting solid VDI on a deep target.

The original 6” Coil has proven to be very deep and sensitive for such a small coil, about as good as you are going to get. The question is does the 6x9 compare in performance other than just coverage

in very clean land and away from emi the lg35 would have best depth, not always possible. i have had the lg24 running sensi 28 mf under powerlines and stable , lg35 under power lines had to drop to 21 in mf , so choose to run single 15 with sensitivity 26. to many factors to do every test possible, all coils will have there advantages and disadvantages depending on scenario. Its upto the detectorists knowledge to choose there weapons in relation to all external influences. This test was just a benchmark reference test.

lg15 with the smaller foot print does well getting between targets BUT can easily become over saturated due to the smaller footprint

If i was betting my money i would bet that the 6 x 9 will have the edge on depth by a small margin. I have been watching paystreaks video's using the 6 x 9 and the coil seems to be excellent.
is it really worth paying £160 for it though, i don't think so. It is far less likely to miss coins or rings on trashy sites though compared to the round 6..

Seems to have a slight edge on depth.
As he said though each has its own advantages and disadvantages as well as purposes depending how the person is using the detector.
With digging about everything with a good signal i think it would be beneficial.
Someone who hunts for basically coins in a trashy area would probably be better with the 6” jmo

Paystreak already owns , 70 coils , 22 Pinpoint Probes , 25 Metal Detectors and fifteen sets of headphones , 5 diggers, 4 carry bags ,and about 20 go pro battery's.
How come he has not gone bankrupt is really just amazing. :lmfao::lol: Plus he travels 100 miles to totlots  10 hours detecting each and every day, I vote him world champion easily for his
effort.

I bought the pro kit with the 2 coils and I’m happy with what I have…I’m getting good depth, and great separation with the 6 inch coil….I will use the larger coil when I get to the beach, but for now, the 6 inch coil is a good one !…I used to be a depth kinda guy…I’m finding more, and being more particular now with smaller coils…Another machine that I own (I won’t mention the name) I found nearly imposible to run with the larger coil….When I went to the smaller coil it was a night and day difference plus the fact that the smaller coil was a gem of a coil to use with higher sensitivity….Bigger is not always better !

It is a matter of relative degree. If you have a concentration of iron/trash masking a target by close proximity, the small coil has a larger percentage of it's detection field blocked than a larger coil. A smaller coil has a better chance to get in between the trash, a larger coil has a better chance to see through/around the trash. There is a difference between separation and unmasking a co-located target. That is why you can find targets with both small & large coils in a trashy site each other may not see/hit on.

"Saturation"? I think something is getting skewed in the translation but no big deal. I used my 24 the other day and was neither overjoyed nor under impressed but nice to cover a little more ground in the trash than with the 6". Now I wish the big coil was 15 instead of 13.
