four silver spill results in my first Franklin, around 4" deep swinging a 10x5 coiltek. 20230215_152443.jpg

Congrats on a great silver coin spill. That would be the highlight of the year for a lot of us. No pennies in the spill? Did you do the happy dance?
There were no pennies in the spill but I found some wheaties and other coins too. My dancing days are over especially in public, people tend to look at you strange when you are metal detecting anyway.
I appreciate you looking

Anybody film you doing the happy dance?

Eyes are everywhere so who knows, fire ants have made me do a quick silly dance before.
Thanks for looking

I'm still dreaming of finding something like that, maybe this will be the year for me?
That's why we keep metal detecting, we are addicted to the hope of finding something like this.
It seems to happen when we least expect so keep swinging, Mel Fisher's motto was " Today is the Day ".
Thanks for looking

CONGRATS! I know the excitement, I once found (3) Franklin halves in a spill. I knew at that moment that my season was made and it was all downhill from there. To my suprise, I found my first and only silver dollar the very next weekend.... THEN my season was over.

Thanks, that was my first Franklin so it was exciting , 3 Franklin's in a spill would give me goosebumps. Yeah I have found one silver dollar to and that was a surprise but nothing like the gold coin I found in January and I figured my season was over then but I'm still doing ok .
