Tried the CTX3030 for 1 year. Loved everything about it except one thing. The weight. Had to use a swing harness and hated every minute of it. Tried the Minelab swing harness and it was the worst for me. Switched to Doc's Swingy Thingy harness and it was much better than the Minelab harness. But still did not like using a harness. Sold the CTX and bought an XP2l. Problem totally solved. Still miss some of the goodies only found on the CTX.

Give that Deus 2 a chance... it will show you the goods...

If the Deus 2 finds 90% of what the CTX could, but you can comfortably swing the D2 twice as long the math is pretty straightforward.

I did the same when I went to the XP D1 and now the D2. Yes I miss some things about the CTX, like the reliability of the VDI. I don't swing twice as long, I just don't hurt for three days after.

The ID of the D2 is incredible, even on deep targets. . . . in my PA soil. . . . I've never used or owned a detector that ID's as well as the D2. If it's a 91 in the ground, it's a 91 in the air.

That is why I am still stuck on the Deus one. If it ID's in the ground as 91 I know what I am digging before I get there, 99% of the time. I just can not part with the extra cash to find a nickle right now. Plus it is light and I can swing it all day and not wear myself out in twenty minutes working out with five pounds vs two.

finding nickles is easy, follow the directions on this site and adjust to your coil. or liking's, you will still be digging some pull tabs but will recognize nickles in no time.https://www.secondstarhobbies.com/xp-deus-coin-program/
