Has anyone tried the Etrac environmental cover with a visor?

Love the Etrac... HATE the display. I do hunt mostly by ear, but I still ID before digging. I tried one of those stick on polarizer things and it helped a little, but not much. I was out detecting over the Thanksgiving weekend; I've been away from it for about a year. Either my display is getting lighter, or I forgot just how bad it really was. I'm thinking of trying one of those environmental covers with a visor..... if I can find one that's not made in Ukrane. With all that's going on over there, I'm not sure I'd ever receive it.

On another subject.... I've had my Etrac for 2-3 years but I never learned to program it. We have 2 other Etracs in the family and my brother was the programmer of the Etrac. He moved up to Deus II and got away from the Etrac, I guess it's up to me now. I downloaded the Andy S and the Bill S trashy programs that I'm going to input soon. I think what I've been running is the Andy S program integrated into the Etrac coin program. For some reason, this programming makes no sense to me. I can and have programmed entire industrial chiller plants, the Etrac program, not so much.

I think what you have on your screen, if I'm understanding it correctly, is what I already have on my machine. It's a little stick-on plastic sheet that you put over the screen. I've already played with the contrast.

If yours is from NuShield and is called a DayVue for minelab E-trac # R0D000038800000

Then yours is exactly like mine and you should be able to see your screen in the sunlight.
Just trying to help... HH

Yep, Nushield is exactly what I have, I couldn’t remember the name. It helped but it’s still tough to see.

So I did receive my new control box cover all the way from Ukraine. It's very well made, not regretting my purchase, but it did very little for my inability to see the screen. The heavy material with a zipper down the back and Velcro under the control box, coupled with a clear screen that's not all scratched up yet was worth the purchase.

We did make it out on one of the warm days at the end of December. A few wheats but a lot of tough digging with a lot rocks and red dog. We may go back after a good snowfall that takes the rest of the weeds down, but I don't have high hopes for much good.

Думаю увеличить яркость подсветки путем замены светодиодов на ленту с экрана мобильного телефона
