I have hunted in the UK lots, I will never forget this one guys comment "I would never dig where someone else has". He made that comment after I had recovered a silver love token from the 1600's out of a poorly dug hole. He was running a Canadian detecting forum LOL

Who knows what I left behind with the first beep and dig Bounty Hunter….. and no idea where I was or went when I was swinging. Pretty sure where Im at no gold coins but who knows…. Neat story.
 
Over the years I have lost the signal, the machine de-tunes itself or using ground tracking will miss the target. No regrets because they weren’t million dollar coins!
