Been looking at maps of Missouri for gold dust left by the glaciers in northwestern Missouri. Anyone know much about it?

I'm to the point where I've bought some waders, about 6 different screens that fit my 5 gallon bucket coolection as well as several different pans and always look out for deals on sluice boxes. Any advice or people to join up with? One friend let me pan some of his gold flakes out of a site he had done over in Ohio. Got about 5 flakes so I think I get it if can find some good ground.

Thanks... Guvner...

Sounds interesting and like I might be a nuisance. Get me a city near you so I can take a look on the CarPlay destination computer. Appreciate the offer for sure. Thanks for replying...

I find glaciers gold in Ohio, so it should be up where you are. The most i have every got is about 3 oz. over a years time, when i could go alot. Now it seams like it rains so much that the water don,t go down anymore. I use a 2" dredge and after i get about 3ft, deep the small gold starts to build up. Just panning i hard to get very deep, like i said when the creek comes up it fills my holes and i start over. Build you a small high banker, and go after the gold. good luck

I thought Ohio you can use up to a 4" dredge ?
What's the best areas in Ohio ?

I had a 4" dredge and sold it. Most of the small creeks can,t handle the 4", not enough water sometimes. But it was just to big for me to move around by myself. I am 72 years old and a broken back, i do thing lite.

Where about in Ohio do you go ?
Id like to try down around my hometown in South West Ohio. I found nuggets there as a child back in the 60's.
I live near Mentor today. Retired this January.
All my years of dreaming finding gold.
I just be happy to cover the bottom of a pan.

Welp if I can get enough strength back after being bed ridden most of last 3 1/2 yrs. I wouldn't mind tagging along on one of your adventures. Though I doubt I'll be capable until next year.

Ok, that is fine with me. Most of the guys i went with are in there 40,s and can't keep up with me. The said it was hard work, I told them if it was ease there would not be any gold left. We can just take it ease and have fun.

Do you detect for any gold also ?

Been out West a few times, didn't do any good. The creeks in Ohio has to much wire and other trash to do any good. I do hunt parks foe gold rings, love to find any ring. Best i have done was a gold broch with 63 stones, about $4000.00 . That was 15 years ago. Said it was a peace from 20's or 30's they don't make anything that heavey anymore.
