I miss it seriously but I own a nox 800 I do like it it works well and finds good targets but I love the Safari is a heavy unit compared too my Nox 800. So the question is >is the Minelab Safari still repairable if it breaks down?

I would think it would be repairable, as long as parts are out there.
I thought there was a sticky post on who repairs them and the Exp II. If you can find that person then contact him.

If you can swing the safari all day and make great finds , then do it. I am 60and I like to hunt for 6- 8 hours when I go. I had to get a lighter unit so I would not feel completely wore out after an outing. The D2 ws6 checks all the boxes for me . HH Tony

I've had many detectors over the year's but call me old school, I still love my Safari although it's heavy and it gets harder to swing as the day wears on. It has paid for itself many times in gold and silver and I've been able to pick out deep targets. I sold it once (needed the cash) but after a couple of weeks, I was able to buy it back luckily the buyer hadn't got used to the fbs tones!! I'm now on the hunt foe a more newer and lighter detector but haven't decided yet!

I own and use the Safari. It is both a great Relic Hunter and it does well as a beach hunter. I'm going to hang onto it for a while. I have found a few nice rings on the beach. I'm about to turn 68 next week, but the weight is not too terribly bad. If my shoulder gets a little sore, I just take a break. To me a little weight is a trade off as to what the Safari is capable of. I saw someplace recently where someone claimed to have bought a new Safari. I answered them back asking where they had found a new one, as they are out of production, but I never heard anything back from them. If I were able to find a new one, I'd consider getting another and put it up.
