My wireless headphone setup

Everything came to a bit shy of 71.00 on Amazon. I used outdoor super strong Velcro to adhere the wireless receiver to shaft, the flattened style of the Xterra Pro shaft made it a perfect place to put it. The receiver came with a very short cord so I purchased an 8" with an angled end. Super easy to connect and lightning fast response. All Low Latency aptX. Headphones 39.99 receiver 23.49 longer angled wire ( pack of 2) 6.99. Already had Velcro. 👍

Looks real nice. Do you have to remove the transmitter to get to the TX/OFF switch?

Looks great !! If my Garrett ZLink doesn’t work with it. I may have to go that route. Thanks for posting your setup.
I would think your z link would work and could be setup in a similar way.

Was getting some feedback from the detector so moved the wireless module down further, also turned it around so now I don't even have to remove it to turn it on. The pairing is so fast! Faster than any other wireless headphones I've used. The great thing about this setup is I can use it on any detector 😁

the small box is the xmiter, right?

I use the Garrett MS3 Wireless headphones and z link on my Xterra pro. I purchased the the Minelab cable that screws in the back of the control pod that switches it from the 1/8th" headphone jack to 1/4" and then plugged in my z link transmitter and it works great. Don't see me purchasing the ML 85 headphones when they're available now. I will be getting a smaller coil though.

You should even be able to use earbuds with that setup!! Thanks for posting!! 😃
Yes, the great thing about it is I can switch which type of headphones I use. The ones that I have now are small and lightweight perfect for warm weather. I will probably purchase a full size set of headphones for colder weather as they help keep your hat on and ears covered. The great thing is there are so many choices under even 30.00 as opposed to whatever ridiculous price the ML85s will be.

When you do the Vanquish lower shaft is exactly the same shaft as the Xterra Pro.

You might look up Mpow H19 , they are about $40 , and are excellent quality. I bought a set last year and they were $20 . I was shocked at the quality being so good. Got them on Fee Bay. They are the latest Blue tooth capable.

One thing nice about the Zlnk is you can use your favorite wired headphones or a set of wired earbuds.
I always use earbuds because I have to hear my surrounding area for safety.

I was looking at these on a few websites and saw nothing about them having APTX Low Latency. Any idea if they do or not?

I use a pair wired to the adapter that they send with the XP D2 ws6 with an 8” cord , then put the adapter in my pocket. They are much lighter than the full size quest headphones.

I’m not sure if those ar anything will work because Even Minelab ML 80 won’t work. Im guessing Minelab has done a dirty trick on us and have placed a chip in their new headphones that certain ones of their detectors cronies only their headphones ( corning the market). So you are stuck with only aloud to use their $$$ headphones. That is so dirty for Minelab to do that. They are screwing us.
The only way to beat their system is to buy a Wi-Fi amplifier Or the Garrett Zlink I’m going to try both ways I think. .
the Garrett’s Zlink is not cheap. $140 for TR. & REC.

I'm using my ten-year-old Auvio 33-283 wireless headphones and transmitter that I've used on all my Minelab detectors with no issues. So, no funny "chip" games are in play that would affect the use of third-party setups.

Ok that’s great. So you are using a transmitter with it without using the internal Wi-Fi that is built into the detector.
