Headphones won't work after update to v1.00

We call it a PICNIC error. Problem In Chair Not In Computer. :p
Yes, we used that too in describing end users. Very good, you helped my memory recover a lost bit💡😉.

Yep, pushing the buttons in the right sequence gets you sometimes lol.
It is a bit of a different setup i do have to say as compared to other devices where it is very simple with an on/off button. Not being able to turn off the coil really threw me off.
As for the set up you can do with the full version probably not everyone realized you can basically split it up into two devices. The combinations you can do with xp seem endless lol. Wonder what new style will be next

Well I updated my remote with no problem, Then tried for 4 hours to update my was2 headphones ,I gave up it even said usb not compatible, and i didn't even have the usb in, witch tells me it's the software, changed browser, still didn't work. I deleted the 1.0 update and went back to 7.0 works fine, I'm going to sell the deus and get a Manticore, I don't want it anymore. The french just don't have it.

The update software worked fine for me. ZERO issues. Read back a few posts about the "PICNIC" comment. Me thinks it's a Chair problem not a software problem...

Well if it wasn't software, why did it update the remote without a problem, and then not the wsa2 headphones? You can call it picnic, or what ever you want but it stinks!

To his defense its two different software programs for both but more likely picnic

According to the website updater, I successfully updated both my detector and my WSA2XL headphones to version 1.0. However, I am unable to get the headphones to pair. I reinstalled V 1.0 to the headphones a second time but still unable to pair. Anybody else have this problem? XP Website is no help. Suggestions?

My update has been done to the remote , but now i have no wireless. This update is rubbish
I've done the update and you DO NEED TO UPDATE THE HEADPHONES TOO.
Here is the problem.....the USB B cable that comes with the Deus II seems to be a "POWER ONLY" cable and unable to connect the headphones to the website for the update. I kept getting an "unable to connect" message. After finding the right cable...it was very easy to update the headphones.
You should try several different USB A to USB B cables to find out which one will work.
After doing the update......My Oh My.....well worth it. The Deus II is not an easy detector to use. Once you understand it, it becomes part of you.

The whole cable thing can be made easier though.
Maybe label them if they all won’t do the same thing

Got it figured out. I was misinterpreting the instructions to mean turn the headphones and the remote on at the same time to pair them. Remote needs to be on already and then press the “-“ key on the headphones. Paired right away.
I used to have to write technical policies and procedures. Learned pretty quickly that written instructions need to be one step at a time, simple but detailed. Never assume a step or a detail can be left out because it is so basic. If that is done, somebody will misinterpret the procedure. I rarely see well-written instructions anywhere. XP is no exception.

Same here!!!
Sorry to hear that. I let the battery run down in the WS6 and after I recharged it, it worked as it should. I think XP has addressed this issue and fixed it.
