Everyone is talking about “Full tones”. How about the interpretation of the other audio options??

In “Pitch”, v1.0 is making one way signals just POP like never before. Even with an Audio filter of 0. The whole lot has been a struggle for 15 hours so I rolled it back to v.71 just to find something again. I’ll have more of a play with it on the WS6 but until I get way more time on the machine in general I’m laying low with any more opinions.

On top of all the issues you can’t even update like the previous ones on any browser. With Mac most use Safari which is not supported and not everyone uses chrome or edge either.
What a cluster this is becoming.

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences. The update went smooth for me and so far I've been pleased with the V1.0 enhancements and performance, but I know that hasn't been everyone's experience. I found that it is definitely NOT like running V7.1 and I've had to adjust my programs accordingly.

That is what has me questioning myself even more…it seems some have had issues and some have not. I didn’t want a “new machine” as it has been referred to, I wanted iron falsing to be addressed. Some have said v.71 full tones wasn’t good, personally I liked them and to me they sounded just fine. But I also didn’t have anything to compare them to either, besides having the D1 for a very short period. I reloaded the v1.0 update on the WS6 and will go out today to see if I can make sense of it.

I’ll be curious here, let us know how you do after reloading v1.0.
I have about four hours on v1.0 in general with a few changes. I dug more screw caps then I want too, I dug more junk too but managed a 1950 Roosevelt dime, a 1945 wheat cent and a 1995 quarter. All deep and missed by myself from years of hitting that area. No brag, please, it wasn’t easy finding those.

I managed to update the remote without a problem. The WS six was the biggest problem. I kept getting stuck in the volume screen and then both buttons on the left acted to decrease volume and both buttons on the right acted to increase volume. The only way out with my holding plus and minus to turn it off. I would then have to turn it on and try again but half the time it started and the volume screen. Off on...

I think my biggest problem with the WSA two XL was not pushing the minus button first followed by the plus button.

Version one seems to have definitely had an effect on iron volume. I have had to increase Iron volume by several numbers from 0.71 in order to hear iron. I have only had the chance to use version one for a couple hours. I’m not sure I like the high square. I need to test it more at a ”normal” site. I was at a site where every good signal could not be pinpointed because the Pinpoint mode said every target was a couple feet in size. Even the discreet targets all were deeper large targets. I think this may be the site not the detector. But, it had me wondering what was going on with version one. I had to go to a different site as it was getting dark to find some coins in order to try to regain some confidence.

I think I've seen and heard enough to dissuade me from the upgrade. V.71 is working just fine for me.

It seems like the 1.0 update wanted to change and improve the P1, General Program.
I tried it this morning for a while. Noticed right off most targets had a high tone audio, forcing me to study the large ID numbers to analyze if I wanted to dig numbers lower than coin ID.
My hunting areas have modern trash I try to avoid.
I will need to study on how to customize this program to mute junk.
I Went back to P3 program. Much easier for me to to use full tone.
Modern Coins, that I found were, two cents, one nickel, one dime. The nickel was 66. I took a chance on a 64-65 and that was a modern pull tab.
Iron tones were heard as low tone but none dug. Iron was not imitating high conductor tones.
Xp is still good at letting me know if I am tracking a small coin sized object as opposed to large junk objects I want to avoid.

I rolled mine back to V7.1 because I don't have enough time on my D2 yet. I really like how the D2 was doing and think I'll wait until I get more experience. In the meantime I'll watch and see how this new update pans out.

After today I rolled everything back too Dan, I need more time in different programs and settings to actually learn the basics of the machine inside and out first. Even though I’ve had great success, I attribute that to the machine being that good with v.71 to begin with, it has been one wild ride so far. How have you been doing with it lately? (Besides the update thing😆)

I haven't been out in 5-6 weeks, too much going on at the house this time of the year, garden, honeydo's etc. I hope to get out before summer comes rolling in.
