Had to send my pin pointer in for service. It arrived at Teknetics Office today. Hopefully there will be a quick turnaround.

What happened to yours? I’ve had mine several years no issues.
The unit would not turn off. After pressing the switch, the light would start flashing and never get the pointer to turn off. Had to remove the battery cover to turn pointer off.

On the first version, if the pointer was tuned on near metal, it would not turn off. Mine is like that. I just don't turn it on near metal. See page 16 in manual.

I always turn the pointer on away from the ground and me.

I've got to give Teknetics a big shout out. Sent my 4, year old Tek-Point in for service 2, weeks ago. Today I received a new pin pointer from them. No questions asked. This is the type of company I want to continue to support with this type of customer service. HH

The first thing I noticed about the newer Tek-Point is the volume of the speaker is not as loud as my old pointer. I don't use vibration; I like to hear if the pointer is near the target. Anyone else notice the difference with the newer model?

That was nice!

TheTek-Point is kind of a complicated pin pointer ( my option) but it's the best one I've ever had. It beats the hell out of the Garrett Pro Pointer AT that every one's so crazy about . The problem I have with it is that is drives my T2+crazy. I have changed frequencies but it still raises hell with my machine. I came up with a solution, if I use the T2+ I use the Garrett Pro Pointer AT, If I use my Minelab or Garrett I use the Tek- Point
