I've just read the manual. To me it seems like a stripped down version of the CoRe with a slightly higher frequency. Anything significantly better on this machine compared to the CoRe ? Depth perhaps ?

I had a core but not a 11 inch coil to compare depth my etrak or the 705 could not get a signal on a penny that I was getting a solid hit with the cf77.The audio is different and signiture how it responds to targets compared to the core. You have to pay attention to the end of the swing if it has a blur its not a coin but possibly a relic. Its great in iron, medium tones take practise to tell the difference between nickle foil pultabs high tones really sing. The best way to explain the audio not mearly a break up on bad targets and solid responce on good targets but variable audio signiture spread from bad to good targets primarily on medium tones.High tones like silver coins realy stand out and there is no question.Well thats my opion I would like to hear yours regarding this machine. in summery it takes time to learn the cf77 and may not be the best choice for parks but has turned up silver there,,,,,CEDAR hits on small gold nugget with 9 inch coil

Thanks for the update. If I could find one for cheap I'd try it. They are super rare around here.

I loved my CF77 when I had it, I played the stupid card and sold it and I really wish I hadn't. You can usually tell how popular a particular machine is just by looking on ebay and other sites because you hardly ever see them for sale used. people get them and keep them.
