Short Evening Hunt this Weekend

I wanted to try the Mohave in a small area I had hunted with my F75 three times.
Every time I wrap up a hunt in that area I think,to myself, "I cleaned that area up" But not really.
Each return trip seems to provide new surprises. I found many wheat's and 3 silver dimes with the F75 using a 9 x 5 elliptic DD coil.

On this trip with the Mohave I did well and and found 8 copper penny's the oldest shown in the photo.
The area is getting overgrown now and 60% less ground is exposed so I was not expecting much.
I also seem to lock on to the brass ends of many shotgun shells with the Mohave almost everywhere I go.
That is amazing to me because these areas have not allowed firearm discharge in about 50 years.

So I am getting more comfortable using the Mohave and think it is a keeper.
The discrimination settings work well and I can thumb the dial raising the discrimination to the copper silver setting to verify the quality of the the tone.
The pinpoint seems to be right on on my unit so I am happy with that too,
I am thinking if I set the Discrimination setting for 5 cents position- no gold ring will escape me.

The Mojave is a nice little detector and as for as the headstamps more than likely were brought in over time with any fill dirt that may have been brought in the past

The nickel discrimination setting is a good COIN setting.:surrender:
