many buy the Anderson knobs that change out the originals. I personally dont like the small standard knobs. They are very tight to move and fragile..... so much so that some buy a knob guard. I like a bit larger knob.... they move smoother, dont break and i can move them with two fingers and FEEL the stop. I think a lot of the switches get broken just because they are tight and you find yourself putting pressure on those switch stops....... which break easily. If you get an after market knob many have brass inserts and set screws. Swap out the brass set screw for stainless. Otherwise if you dont remove them occasionally they can oxidize and freeze up on you. Get the set screws with allen wrench heads. Never broken an after market knob nor switch ..... but i did with the standard knobs, i broke both. Soooo i never use the knob guard now either.
