Im not out there on the beach to coin hunt and anyone who says BBS isnt all that good hasnt had enough time with one. Im an Explorer guy ..... but when i started beach hunting i found deep targets were separated well enough at the lower register where small gold was........ minerals and targets sounded awfully like each other. Even the CTX has this issue but responds faster....... it also will loose targets a bit after you take a scoop.... and it has a very short response compared to an Xcal. Now in the dirt...... other machines seem better mostly because you have a TDI screen and all that additional information. BUT.....i Sov/Xcal will hold its own with any detector used on the beach.

The new machine is interesting. Its light, got to be faster to swing in the water, simple, faster, several freq options...... which really steps it up moving out of the water onto the dry sand. Has any dealer produced a water machine that never had some issues? We arent going to get away from that because salt water is hard on equipment. I still dont see why they put that external speak on it. Noticed they are changing up the phones as well.......... here we go looking for connectors. Yes im holding back....... why not i have a CTX and several Xcals. When they first come out we get all kinds of fish stories. Then of course we have the haters. I like to give a machine time to get out there and use it in locations i hunt in since machines can be location specific..... they just react differently. Also, there are a few more machines coming out i want to see and get more info on. BUT this looks like a winner to me....... just have to see how it does on targets.
