Relic mode

The relic mode is great for picking out week signals the nickle was just a squeek in mingled iron grunts barely a two way signal at 8 inches. This area has been hit hard one part of the field targets are deep laced with iron which renders larger coils when there is iron present difficult. The 8x6 sef coil has been working well for me,but the signals iffy, and I dig nails as well as small wire on the edge of the hole however if the target is in the center of the hole usually ends up being a good target nonferrous. Most of the time some of these targets would have passed by, and I had to slow down and listen for a small narrow tone that sounds corrupted, but allows for a two way signal taking note of the center point if that point shifts when you pinpoint an inch or so its ferrous. This technique has its rewards, and the MXT and the 8x6 sef is the right tool for the job, almost forgot to mention the relic mode is much better under the wires emi etc. was able to crank 10 +2 gain soil 72.Most of the time I would hunt an area in coins and jewelry taking the easy pics then go back through method as described on deep targets, but as it turned out had to pay more attention to iffyer than my previously conceived idea of iffy signals that would cause me to stop and investigate lol,,,,,CEDAR

Heres a pic of a cartidge that I also found in the same place that I forgot to post.Turns out that the dimentions match the 50-70 type of case used in 1873 on the Custer expedition chambered in his Remington rolling block rifle, of which he took to battle at the little big horn.Big medicine in someones battle field pick up, heres pics of comparison from my cartridge collection 50-70 Gov. cases and a 45-70 Gov far right.Custer in 1873 with his rifle,,,,,CEDAR
