I've owned a CT 3030 for over a year and I am very happy with it.. I was wondering if anybody on this forum has an old Fisher CZ 5 or CZ 6 that they've tried to hunt in the same areas as their CTX and had good results? CTX is far more advanced, but the CZ is an old favorite of mine and when I run it in 0 discrimination it does findcoins in medium trah in junk, I hunt old parks and all the old coins are 6inches or deeper. Anybody, by chance have an old Cz, and try the same old park sites with each one?

Yes, I have an older CZ3D that I bought used in 2010, and a CTX since 2014. Both hunt the same old parks, both have found a few targets that the other missed. Both seem pretty evenly matched performance-wise. CTX is heavier but feels lighter and easier to swing. More adjustable. More screen information. Nice ground tracking system. CZ is turn on, ground balance and go. Not much to adjust, not much adjusting needed. Good depth from the 8" concentric coil. Handles EMI very well. Both machines are deep and accurate. Both like to false on rusty, pointy iron; the CZ more so. Both are more prone to masking from co-located targets than some of their faster counterparts. At the end of the day, both seem pretty even on the amount of good targets dug and the amount of trash.
