Wasn't going to go out for a dig today but happened to glance at the tide charts . Extra low tide was indicated so away I went.

Just the waves, seagulls and I at the Dingle. Did the shoreline from one end to the other finding some pretty toasty coins and lures. Was cold but nice!

Same here in Cornwall.
One small section on one of my beaches was washed down to bed rock so the sand has dropped about 3ft in no time. The area is not normally available but because the tide was so long on the 4th Dec it was easy to get to, the problem was I didn't notice until after low water so didn't have long to detect but there was so many large fishing weights to pick up on the surface by the time I had finished clearing them away the tide had started to come in, also found quite a few new coins.
Hope it is still washed out on the next spring tides and I will check for valuable stuff.
