How does the 3D and Excel compare to the coin strike ? I had to sell my C$ a few months ago and was looking for something to replace it with out the big cost. How is depth ect on these detectors for coin and relic hunting ?

The Excel is very much like the Coin$trike. The depth is outstanding. In my opinion the Excel is the most bang for the buck out there today. I don't think you will be disappointed with an Excel. Read the field test on the Excel forum. I watched Bill dig deep bullets and a Liberal Carpetbagging Yankee coat button out of a trash pit. It's a good relic machine as well.

Go back to the top of the page and click the "Forums" button. When that page loads, go WAY down to almost the bottom of the page and click on "The Fisher ID Excel Classroom" link. Or just click on the link below. You can see the field test at the top of the Excel page.

I'd say if the C$ worked for you buy an Excel. They're very similar.
