I took out my Fisher 1265 I scored a few weeks ago....Dang this little puppy is Hot on deep silver. I Scored two mercs around 7" deep and some other small targets close to 10"......All targets were smooth soft tones, but we all know what those sound like ! And I dug only 2 piece of iron out of almost 60 recovered targets. I have a 1266 on its way, needs some new battery leads soldered in and it should be good to go. I can't wait to battle the 1265 and 1266 ! Silver at my parks are getting harder and harder to find......

Good job! Love the sounds those older units make on deep coins...very telling. Your post gives me encouragement as I have a nice 1266X that I acquired last month. I can't wait for the temps to cool down so I can get out with it. Some rain would certainly help too. The Fisher 1200 series have been proven winners in the depth department. The 1265X and the 1266X have been some of my favorites in the past. Glad I got another. HH
