F75 SEL ... Basic Question

I had a Minelab Musketeer Advantage - did best when you swung the coil quicker over the ground. I have a Tesoro Silver uMax and generally the slower I move over the ground the better detecting.

So ... what about the F75 SEL. Slow, moderate, fast

If you died today are you prepared for where you will find yourself tomorrow?

In open spaces without much junk and especially in good soil a fast sweep can usually ID some pretty deep targets more accurately.
This is just something programmed into the Fishers.
These are fast units even without using the extra programs like FA that makes them even faster.
On my first hunt in great Kansas soil with my F70 I was near the end and I was in a baseball field swinging that coil super fast...much faster than I should have been covering a lot of ground quickly just looking for one more good signal before I went home.
Even with that super fast coil speed I hit a really short but solid high tone that stopped me in my tracks and went back to examine it further.
Turns out it was a very small silver pendant hit by a mower and bent at about 5-6" deep but still sounded off at a more normal swing speed loud and clear like a silver dollar.
That one surprised and impressed me plus first hunt I hit tiny silver so...happy.

Hunting in extremely heavy trash or iron or in my regular red clay devil dirt where most all targets are masked from ranges that go from just a little to extreme I found very slow coil movements find me much more in these types of challenging situations.
Unless I am swinging over a target in a clear space that fast sweep over deep targets doesn't work so well but there are many other ways to ID targets at depth around here with slower sweeps.
The fast recovery speed and superior target separation these possess help in all situations and conditions.
As always you just have to adapt to find what you are looking to find and with all the features these have they are extremely adaptable.

I will second what Revier said, it depends on the hunting grounds. Clean parks I can swing fast and get good IDs. Trashy homesites require a moderate to slow speed. If I hear a good sound among the heavy trash I typically slow down in order to get a more solid/separated signal. You can still hunt real fast in trashy areas but your ears require some training to hear those fast blips, especially in FA process.
