I posted this to help on another forum and thought it may help others here. :stretcher: I have repaired the ends before on my own. {if it is just battery ends broke on machine} Here's what you do> Get a old 9 volt battery {any} and remove the end you need by using a small drill or bit and drilling the center. Now. Go to Radio Shack or another and get a ''tee.tiny'' stainless bolt and tiny nut {hobby stuff} that will go through the cut off terminal end and through the contact hole on detector. Make sure it [screw top] will not hit battery when clipped in. You can cut off one with a Dremel if needed. It works!
