Watch Fob? Can you help?

My Buddy Keith found this yesterday. I think it may be a watch fob, but can't make out the words for a google search. I was hoping someone on here would have an answer. I thought it might say Leo XIII Pani M., which would be Pope Leo XIII, 1878-1903, but he didn't have hair! The Pani M. could be Pani Max that is found on Catholic Pendants? Just a Thought. Thanks

I don't think it's a watch fob.
I don't see the right attachments.
I think it is a pendent or medallion.
Some type of medal.
Just some ideas.

No. Cal. Gold Country
XP DEUS / 9"-11"-11X13" coils
Garrett Pro Pointer

Sure looks like pictures of Leo XIII found online. I agree with HuntinDog that it's a religious medal.

To develop more relief and design clarity, rub a little olive oil and then press it with a paper towel and give us a gauge comparison in the image. Peace
