Hunting yesterday on a buddies land and got a good signal and this Proctor and Gamble token was in the hole. Was just about to fill it in when I noticed this....any ideas? It is stone and is 2-1/2” long and 2” square. Thanks for any info

Neolithic fishing weight?

That's what I'd use it for. Cool finds! Got two of those P&G tokens, myself..

Rest of the better finds from yesterday.

Maybe the stone block was for rubbing hides? Just a guess, though. Like the token. HH jim tn

No, but it sure looks nice. Also most of the people back in the 1800's must have played the harmonica. I can't even whistle.

I’m no expert, but that looks like a fossil bone to me. Have it checked at your nearest university

I agree, it does look like a fossilized bone! Very cool Token too!

Sounds strange, but this is from the fossil forum:
"Touch it with ur tongue and see if it sticks, phosphates in a bone will make ur tongue stick"
(I'm paraphrasing)

If it is a bone, have it examined by a zoologist and let us know. I say it is a digit bone. Peace Roy
