I will post anything I can if it comes up but his wife said he didn't want anything in the way of a service so this may be the only place to leave any thought or condolences...

Just a note here on Elton. He actually just loved Findmall. It was almost embarrassing how much he liked the site and the people here. He was actually honored to be the administrator and was never on any kind of power trip. If someone challenged him on something he'd quickly ask me how I wanted to handle it which I usually explained to him that he was in charge and to do what he thought was best which was usually much nicer then I would have done. A real pleasure to delegate authority too. He'll be truly missed around here.

I met Elton back in 2011 and had been on a few hunts with him over the years. That was not his real name by the way, but I will keep that private. He was an older gentleman and as nice a guy in person as he was on the forum. Ex-law enforcement officer, which is probably why he always seemed to handle forum issues in such a tactful, professional manner. Absolutely loved detecting. If ever there was a guy that represented our hobby in the positive way that it should be, it was Elton!

Wow, that's a shock! Although we never met in person, he was a true friend. Many nights the p m's flowed between us. He is going to be missed by many of us.

I am very saddened to hear the news about Eldon.
I have had the privilege of talking to Eldon on a number of occasions, I always enjoyed talking with him and found him to be very helpful and always a solid class act.
