Your'e just going to have to experiment on that one yourself, too many variables, like button contour, shape, nail size angle in ground and such- but it can probably be done, I have never had the chance to try that experiment myself, I think it could be done tho. good luck and HH.:garrett:

Yeah, Bugar's right on about that. It depends alot on the soil in the area that you're hunting and the targets themselves. The Scorpion is an excellent relic hunter/ ghost town hunter. It does disc out iron rather well and gets good targets in close proximity to iron (in Motion Disc Mode). However, it's hard to disc out rusty iron. Now, the TR Disc Mode will disc out even rusty iron and such, but it doesn't get that much depth AND it's kinda tricky to get used to using. In TR Disc Mode you really need to keep the search coil at an even height above the ground. If you raise or lower the coil just a bit in TR Disc your threshold/audio wil go nuts.
You should ALWAYS ground balance in ALL METAL MODE at first and then switch to Disc Mode. This will very much increase your depth capabilities as well as the machines ability to handle the ground conditions/soil.
Best of luck to ya!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!

The only thing that I hate more than digging pulltabs is missing a gold ring!
