X35 coil questions

With the announcement of the new X35 coils, I have been wondering how the new 13x11 compares with the original in terms of weight and balance. Will we still need to use the aftermarket offset block to mount the coil to counteract nose heaviness? How much does the 13x11 weigh vs legacy 13x11?
Thanks in advance!

The new X35 11x13 coil weighs a tad over 20 ounces or 1.25 pounds. This is SLIGHTLY less than the \original one was but not a significant amount which weighed 23 ounces with the coil cover.

The x35 11" coil weighs just at 16 ounces or 1 pound

The X35 9" coil weighs 13 ounces.

The mounting point on the new x35 11x13 coil is in the same place as it was on the original 11x13 coil so if you felt that the unit was nose-heavy with the old coil, you will find it to be with the x35 coil. The mounting block that many used on teh larger coil is an option but it may move the weight and cause it to be unbalanced in another way . . . matter of personal preference on how it balances and how far extended you run your shafts.

Hope this helps
