Do the Equinoxand CTX3030 operate off the same principle?

First off I am not looking for a comparison.
I looking to get all the information I can in oder to make my next detector purchase.
I see that both the Equinox and the CTX3030 both use multi frequency.
Do they both operate multi-frequencies at the same time?
Can you use you a combination of frequencies? Or single frequency?

What's the difference between FBS 2 and Multi-IQ?

Thank you.

No buy all three like the rest of us and you decide. All of us CTX users know the answer... :)

Oh SNAP! Yes,yes we do....
The CTX runs multi freq ALL the time, while there is selectability on the EQ to run multi or a single freq. Also keep in mind the 600 and 800 are slightly different in the number of freqs they have and how much you can adjust the settings. Several have said the 600 is very capable, while the real aficionado would opt for the 800 for the extras it has.
Nothing will ever be quite like FBS in the regard that they have the FECO readout, which has the ability to supply very useful information to the user regarding SPECIFIC target ID. It’s for this reason(mainly) that the E-series and CTX will most likely be considered the most effective coin hunting machines out there for now. It’s not that other machines CANT find the same things,it’s more about avoiding the junk while doing it.
When I go coin hunting,I want to come home with,well...coins! With the Explorer2 and CTX that’s what happens to a very large degree. The extra features are GREAT,but not the driving force behind why I personally have them. They just find coins REALLY WELL!
Someone else might chime in on the attributes of the EQ and why THEY like using what they have.
If you buy any of the 3 (CTX,600 or 800) I cannot imagine you’d be disappointed. But 2/3 of that statement is also heresy...

Thanks for the info.
I'm more of a relic hunter.
But lately I've had less free time to travel and find it easier to make time for quick coin trips.
