12-13 numbers

I can’t count how many nickels I have dug under 12-13 numbers
Even the 12-14 pullltab
And not one even gold ring yet
Has anyone dug more then one gold ring under these numbers
The thought crossed my mind of leaving those number behind. I know gold fall in that range. But come on couple hundred targets and not one gold ring yet
Even though I have not found many gold rings with this machine( two many hunters and no one really wears the gold )
All ihunt are the beaches
Just wondering if I would be missing a lot if I didn’t dig those numbers

Well here is a 12-13 Gold Ring!

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD'S, and all it contains...But God shares with us who search!

Stateguyt, the dealer I bought my ctx from has a hat rack in his office with the spokes holding the hundreds of pulltabs he's pulled just to bring home how much of a challenge digging these numbers is. I am not a beach hunter, but most of the nice gold rings I've found were in the 12-14 range that I dug assuming they were either a nickel or a pt. I have a lot of family rings that I've studied the numbers on and I can tell you that they ring up all over the place but most of the small lady diamond bands fall below the nickel range like 12-1 to 12-10. One beach strategy might be to open your screen while hunting in the water where the treasure:trash ratio is higher, but notching the area where the greatest no. of pts are falling on the beach.. Might increase your find rate even if you lose a few. It's your call. HH

Over the years with this machine I have found gold from 12-02 to 12-30. You will dig ALOT of can slaw, aluminum blobs, and pull tabs. Anything in this range you have to dig.

I used to think the same! But as the others say, keep digging!! My golds have been between 12-07 to 12-23.

I have found gold rings from 12-02 thru 12-38, but I have never found a 12-13 gold ring!? However, I have found a 12-12 gold ring. I have a program on my CTX with certain gold numbers rejected because I get tired of digging pull tabs and other pieces of scrap metal. The program I made up will find about 89% of the gold rings I have tested and cut down the amount of pull tabs and other related scrap metal by at least 50%. I'm willing to give up some gold rings to not dig a bunch of scrap metal and pull tabs. I'm getting older and my back lets me know that I am.

We don't have nickels in the UK and I always dig the 12:13 numbers. They are most often buttons, but could be a thin cracked hammered silver coin or 16 century Tudor dress fastener.
