Check the Coiltech web page I believe they have 3 after market one now.
Jeff

Pretty sure it's still just 2 Coilteks for the CTX.
Haven't seen or heard otherwise...

I don't know why, I just bought a 15 inch for my equinox for almost half what the 17 inch for my ctx cost.
I can tell you this, if you get a 17 inch coil and you plan to hunt for more than a couple of hours you will probably need a harness. Or in my opinion you should use one.
I am selling my ctx on the classifted forum.
I have used it for the last three years with the 17 inch coil without a harness and my arm is getting in bad shape.
And now I can't swing the equinox 15 inch without the harness either. It will mess up your elbow.

The Equinox is as balanced as the CTX is in my opinion, so perhaps that's the difference you are feeling?

I can swing my CTX all day long and not feel bad, but the Equinox is a lot more nose heavy and I feel you are spending more time keeping it up right than you are focusing on the targets.

I have the Coiltek 10 x 5 coil for my CTX and love it. I can't say that I have a problem with pinpointing, in fact I find it pretty accurate.

It does make the tones sound a bit different, but not enough so that you don't know what you are digging.
