Both of the first two pictures are from the 30's homestead back in our woods. First picture is the second metal stake in the ground that I've found. The second picture is part of a shoe sole, another core sample like one previously found, metal trap part, marble, and a nice piece of pink looking glass. Must have been a real pretty piece. Some kind of stubby wrench and a spoon handle.

Yesterday at the construction site in town, I found the 1944 mercury dime. First merc, but no metal detecting skills involved as it was laying on top of the ground. It still counts as a find though, just like marbles.

Greetings and good luck from West Virginia
