Old buckle and 1906 Indian

I was detecting a large old field for a bit with Deus found this buckle which has a nice design on it and 1906 Indian

Pretty deep about 7”a friend says it’s a suspender buckle 1860’s

Lol funny I’m on Ct coastline so all the fields near me are all old,

You are correct, here in CT, everything is old with lots of history.
Have you ever researched the old field with maps? Wonder what use to be there?

I know of some of the history it’s at the mouth of the Ct river lots of Indians used them then early settlers one of the property owners is head of the towns historical society she’s very nice and her husband used to be my dentist years ago ..
I have permission to hunt there but have to mark where all the finds come from..
There was a fort across the river in saybrook and the British burned all the ships in Essex just up river in which they battled their way back down river being fired upon by locals all the way back to the mouth of the river so there is a ton of history all along the river which I really love to hunt

Found one of my nicest Indian a few months ago considering how long Indians were made they are tough to find especially in great shape this one looks to be lost just about after circulation
