Some would say I have a lot of brass  And I was rewarded for it

I went back to where I found the SLQ and other coins along the river. Today (for two hours) I concentrated on an area at the top of this tiny little hill (if you want to call it that ) and up there were two huge rocks. Well right in between (it was probably not much bigger than 3’ L x 2’ W.) there was a boatload of mid tones and I just needed to investigate. Knowing that I had found buffalos and silver the other day I wanted to make sure the area was sanitized of targets.

The very first area between these two rocks I received multiple tones jumping from 50’s – 70’s on the ATP. Dug in and the first two targets that come out are brass shotgun shells. I then see a glimmer of silver in the hole! Out popped a rosie. I scan the hole again and its still giving me a mid-tone. Got my pin pointer down in that hole and out came a buffalo.
Goes to show the silver dime, buffalo and two wheat cents were all masked by shotgun shells. The reason why I pursued digging every mid-tone: There was no other signals on this small hill other than between these two rocks. Strange.

I have never dug so many brass shotgun shells in a single hunt but it did pay off with a few old coins. :smoke: Hard work does pay off

Fear is paralyzing and courage is liberating. No matter what is put in front of you, there is always a way to make it work.

Dreams are just dreams, goals are dreams with deadlines. The desire to succeed comes from within. Stay focused on your goals, and if people say that you can’t do something, get them out of your life and move on.

Somewhere close by is a pile of broken bottles and shot-up beer cans. That's some dedication to dig up all those shells.

And every one of those shell bases are over 60 years old as Plastic took over and the paper ones went by the wayside That is one pile of digging. Good job on the rescue of the silver and buffalo.
