Some finds and observations with the Equinox 800

I have mainly been utilizing P1 with 50 tones, Reactivity (aka recovery) of 6, iron bias3, sensitivity set between 20-22 and have been making good finds.

The last few hunts I have been using F1 with 50 tones, Reactivity of 6-8 (depending on the amount of iron garbage I encountered) iron bias3, sensitivity set between 20-22.

So between these two modes, here are some of the finds I have made.

Observations:

I am really enjoying the Equinox 800.When I hit a deep high conductor target and it sounds kind of weak in audio, I increase sweep speed and it clarifies the signal even more. I actually stumbled upon this one day as I wasn't sure if it was iron falsing or an actual high conductor target. Sweeping normally the audio signal sounded like iron falsing. Once I increased sweep speed over the target the signal "cleaned" right up. Hard to explain but get your Equinox over a high conductor target and give it a try. The signal will still be "all over" / inconsistent or it will hone right in on the target and essentially "ignore" the iron garbage around it. The majority of coin finds I have found pictured have been recovered in this very type of situation. This machine reminds me of how the Minelab Sovereign locked onto deep targets.

Don't be afraid to crank up the reactivity speed either. It can really unlock iron infested sites that you think are cleaned out. I had some eye-opening moments (nothing stellar -mainly wheat cents) that I was amazed to find in some iron-infested situations. Its a fun machine, I am still learning, and passing along some information that I hope someone can benefit from.

Very cool finds. Every time I use the nox I learn something new. Thanks for info I will give that try. I have tried single frequencies and recovery speeds on a target just listening. Mostly use multi and 7 recovery in p2
