I prefer the Indians but a nice green wheat has a lot of charm, too!

I loved finding those green ones in Omaha, NE. In Minnesota, the coins came out of the soil very nice. Here in NC, the coins, for the most part, are all messed up and corroded. Even silver comes out all discolored. In MN and NE, I could dig a silver dime and it looked much like the day it was dropped.

In addition to the green patina, there's not much wear on it. It looks like it was dropped many years ago.

That is a beautiful find.

Cheers,

Joe

I thought so too.
Not too shabby for a 102 year old coin.

That's an example of one of the few times when being green means sweet and fully ripened . Congratulations on the fruit of your labor !

Revier,

I like finding old wheaties, especially the first 5 years or so. 1909-1914. Lots of good key dates in there.
